The City has officially launched its new electronic permitting system. The City will no longer be accepting paper applications.

All permit applications will need to be completed and submitted online through the City’s permitting system. The application can be completed using a computer, cellphone, or tablet.

Please note that there is not a public computer available at City Hall for completing permit applications.

Fees are due before the permit can be issued.

• A processing fee of 3.50% will be applied to credit card payments.
• A processing fee of $0.99 applied to checking and savings payments.

Grading permits require an escrow deposit in addition to the application fee. An escrow is a deposit collected by the City at the time of application to cover project-related costs that may be incurred during the review and inspection process, such as engineering, planning, or other professional services. Any unused escrow funds will be returned to the applicant once the project is completed and all final approvals have been issued. Application fees are non-refundable.

To request escrow release, please submit an Escrow Release Request Form. Please note, the approval process for escrow release may take 30 days or more to receive sign-off from all departments and for refund to be processed.

Applicants should refer to the email they received with their building permit approval, which includes a list of inspection contacts, and a PDF containing the same inspection contact information.
