Please contact the Zoning Administrator prior to submitting a Zoning Application.
Planning services for the City are contracted but the best place to begin is by contacting the Zoning Administrator.
The contracted Planner assists City staff in administering planning, zoning, and economic development activities including plan review, variances, and conditional use permits.
When submitting a building permit application for New Construction, Additions, Remodels, Decks, Finish Basements or Accessory Structures*, 2 sets of full size plans drawn to scale are required as well as one reduced set no larger than 11 x 17 or one electronic copy. You must submit via mail or in person the building permit application and two sets of full size plans and one reduced set of no larger than 11 x 17. We do not print out applications and plans for Metro West to review, nor do we send them the electronic copy. The electronic copy, if you do not provide a reduced set, of the plans are for city files. Permit application and plans ONLY submitted electronically will not be accepted. The Electronic Copy of the plans can be emailed to the Zoning Administrator. Permits received without these requirements will not be reviewed until they are met.
We only accept cash or checks for payment of Building and Zoning Permit Applications.
